Separately Managed Accounts

A Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) is a portfolio of stocks and bonds that are purchased on behalf of the client based on the client’s unique circumstances.  An investment policy statement is created to determine the investment parameters on the account.  In an SMA, all the assets are held in the client’s name.  The ownership of the underlying assets in an SMA gives the client more transparency, more control to manage tax liabilities and a portfolio that is unique for the client’s needs.
